A New Church for the Congregation

Cambridge, Waikato

PAUA Architects was successful in an invited architectural competition to design a new St Peters Catholic church that looks to the future.  The existing much-altered 1920s church had been assessed as earthquake prone and the congregation saw in this an opportunity to build anew, to suit the modern liturgy and worship, and to enable parish growth. The new church design incorporates architectural elements salvaged from the original church.
